Location and venue

The conference is held at Tieteiden talo (House of Sciences and Letters), located approximately 1km from Helsinki Railway Station and city center.

Directions from Helsinki Airport to Helsinki city center

It takes 30-40 minutes by bus or train from the airport (located in the city of Vantaa) to downtown Helsinki.
• Bus 615 departs every 15-30 minutes from the front of the arrivals terminal.
• Train P from the Airport train station. An exit adjacent to the airport should be completed by late October; until then, shuttle buses run between the terminals and Tietotie exit. Train I (letter i), running opposite to P, goes also to the Central Station but takes a longer route.

A taxi ride from the airport to downtown Helsinki costs approximately 40€.

Anthropology sauna

Mana, the student organization of Social and Cultural Anthropology organizes an open after party for all participants of the Finnish Anthropology Conference. Bring your own towel. More information on the Facebook event page.

NB: A guided walk to the sauna will leave from the main railway station at 8 pm. Let’s meet in front of the main doors.
