XV Biennial Conference of
the Society for the Anthropology of Lowland South America

We have a great pleasure to invite you to the XV SALSA Biennial Conference 2025 and to propose panels, workshops, and special events until November 10, 2024.

The event will bring to Helsinki researchers from diverse backgrounds who foster sound and ethical research in lowland South America.

Keynote Dialogue speakers are Maria Clara Sharupi Jun (Shuar poet) and Philippe Descola (Collège de France).

Conference theme is Co-Creations and Silences in Amazonian Research. To learn more about the Conference and to submit a proposal for a Panel, Workshop, or Special Event, please consult the SALSA XV Conference website.

To participate in the conference, one must be a SALSA member (membership dues are required in addition to the conference registration fee). However, upon submitting a proposal, one does not yet need to be a member of SALSA.

The call for Individual Papers/Posters/Films will go out in early December 2024.
